The Chestnut goby, or banded goby (Chromogobius quadrivittatus) is a species of goby found in the Mediterranean and Black Sea[1]. In the Black Sea it is found in the Gulf of Varna, saline lagoons near Abrau, also near Novorossiysk and Sochi[2]. Marine coastal / estuarine species, reaches a length of 6.6 cm. Mediterranean immigrant in the Black Sea fauna; prefers the salinity about 20‰.
